As the level of air quality deteriorates in Delhi-NCR, substantial amount of rise in cases of respiratory, breathing disorders have been observed post Diwali. Medical Director at LNJP Hospital, Dr Suresh Kumar said, “After Diwali, around 10-15% more patients were admitted here; every day 4-5 children are admitted with allergies, asthma, and breathing problems, as their pre-existing lung conditions deteriorate.”
