A woman who called emergency services and whispered while being allegedly held against her will in a truck has been rescued.
A woman who was allegedly held captive inside a truck in Stawell, Victoria, has been rescued.
The 33-year-old woman called emergency services and whispered for help while being allegedly held against her will in the vehicle, which was travelling along the Western Highway towards Adelaide around 4:40am.
While she was unable to provide her location, police tracked her phone and located her in Stawell.
They immediately began searching the area and found the vehicle at a truck stop on the Western Highway.
The woman, from Point Cook, was found to have sustained minor injuries.
A 38-year-old man, who is known to the woman, was taken into police custody and has been charged with false imprisonment. He was also charged with possession of Viagra without a prescription and a small amount of methylamphetamines.
The man was remanded in custody and will appear in court on December 6.
